Scope of Application
This legal notice applies to the following Zigmoon-published properties:
- app.zigmoon.com — Zigmoon Apps directory (this site)
- a7las.com — A7LAS multi-engine search aggregator
- chessfunart.eu — Chess Fun Art web game
- All web applications accessible under the
app.zigmoon.comsubdomain: ZORD, SUPER PRINT, CUT THE FLOW, VIZION, OTTO BUILDER, ZSHARE, HOT MOTOR MOTION, QR Studio, AUDIO LOOP, MYRAGE, PLAYLISTER, GAMES, DETEKTOR+
By accessing and using any of these applications, you acknowledge that you have read and accept the terms set out in this legal notice.
Platform Nature — Applications as Creative Scaffolding
Core principle: All Zigmoon applications are neutral creative tools — scaffolding only. They provide an interface, a workflow and processing logic. They do not supply, host, curate or control any media, data, document or API content.
Each application is an empty frame that the user fills with their own content:
- Media files (videos, images, audio, documents) — loaded locally from the user's device, never uploaded to any server. The user is the sole owner and responsible party for the files they choose to process.
- API keys — entered voluntarily by the user and stored exclusively in their own browser. Zigmoon has no access to any API key. The user bears full responsibility for their usage, associated costs and compliance with the API provider's terms.
- Generated content — any text, image, video or document produced using Zigmoon tools is generated from the user's own inputs. Zigmoon does not author, review, endorse or take responsibility for that content.
- External services & integrations — features connecting to third-party services (AI providers, IPFS, search engines, social networks) are always opt-in, user-initiated and governed solely by the respective provider's terms.
In consequence:
- Zigmoon is not responsible for the legality, accuracy or appropriateness of any content processed, created or exported using its applications.
- Users must ensure that the media, data, API keys and integrations they use comply with all applicable laws, licenses and third-party terms of service.
- Zigmoon cannot be held liable for any misuse of the applications, including processing of unlicensed media, unauthorized content or illegal material.
Intellectual Property
Software & Source Code
All software, source code, algorithms, interfaces, logic and user experience designs published on the Zigmoon platforms are the exclusive intellectual property of Simon Dupont-Gellert and Clémence Brunet, co-creators under the design entity 2.13, unless explicitly stated otherwise. They are protected under French and international copyright law.
Any reproduction, distribution, modification, adaptation, translation, display, sale or commercial exploitation of any element — in whole or in part — without prior written consent from the publisher is strictly prohibited.
Brand & Visual Identity
The names Zigmoon, 2.13, A7LAS, ZORD, SUPER PRINT, CUT THE FLOW, VIZION, HOT MOTOR MOTION, CHESS FUN ART, QR Studio, AUDIO LOOP, MYRAGE, DETEKTOR+, PLAYLISTER, OTTO BUILDER, ZSHARE, and the associated logos, icons and brand assets are the exclusive property of Simon Dupont-Gellert and Clémence Brunet (design entity 2.13). Unauthorized use is prohibited.
Content & Documentation
All editorial content, documentation, whitepapers, release notes and FAQ content are © Simon Dupont-Gellert & Clémence Brunet — Zigmoon / 2.13, all rights reserved.
User-Generated Content
Zigmoon applications do not collect, store or transmit user content to any server. All files, documents, videos, images and data processed by the applications remain on the user's device and are the exclusive property of the user. Zigmoon claims no rights over any content processed locally by its applications.
Privacy & Data Collection
Core principle: Zigmoon applications are built offline-first. By design, they collect no personal data, store no user files on any server, and include no telemetry or analytics.
What we do NOT collect
- Names, email addresses or any personally identifiable information (PII) — unless you voluntarily contact us
- IP addresses, device fingerprints or location data
- Usage statistics, session recordings or behavioral data
- Files, documents, videos or any content you process in the applications
- API keys you enter into applications (they are stored locally in your browser only)
What we may collect
- Contact form submissions: If you use the feedback or partner contact forms on app.zigmoon.com, your email address and message are transmitted directly to contact@zigmoon.com. This data is used solely to respond to your request and is not stored in any database.
- Server access logs: OVHcloud (our host) may retain standard HTTP access logs (IP address, timestamp, URL requested) for a maximum of 13 months, as required by French law. Zigmoon does not access or process these logs for marketing or profiling purposes.
Local storage
Some applications use your browser's localStorage or IndexedDB to save your preferences, projects or history locally. This data never leaves your device. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings.
Cookies & Tracking
Zigmoon applications use no tracking cookies, no advertising cookies and no third-party analytics cookies (no Google Analytics, no Facebook Pixel, no Hotjar, no similar services).
The only browser storage used by Zigmoon applications is functional local storage (e.g., to remember your dark/light theme preference). This is not subject to cookie consent requirements under GDPR as it does not involve personal data processing or cross-site tracking.
The zigmoon.com blog and shop (powered by WordPress/WooCommerce) may use functional and session cookies for account management and e-commerce. Those cookies are governed by their own cookie policy, available at zigmoon.com.
GDPR — Your Rights
In accordance with the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (EU 2016/679), you have the following rights regarding any personal data that may be held about you:
- Right of access — You may request a copy of any personal data we hold about you.
- Right to rectification — You may request correction of inaccurate data.
- Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten") — You may request deletion of your data.
- Right to restriction of processing — You may request that we limit how we use your data.
- Right to data portability — You may request your data in a portable format.
- Right to object — You may object to processing of your data.
Since Zigmoon applications do not collect personal data by design, the only personal data we may hold is what you voluntarily provide via email or the contact forms. To exercise any of the above rights, contact us at: contact@zigmoon.com
You also have the right to file a complaint with the French data protection authority (CNIL) at cnil.fr if you believe your rights have been infringed.
Third-Party Services
Some Zigmoon applications optionally integrate with third-party services. These integrations are always explicit, user-initiated and require the user's own credentials.
Google Fonts
The Zigmoon Apps portal loads the Space Mono typeface from Google Fonts. This involves a connection to Google's servers (fonts.googleapis.com, fonts.gstatic.com). Google's privacy policy applies: policies.google.com/privacy.
AI Providers (ZORD, OTTO BUILDER)
ZORD and OTTO BUILDER support optional AI features via third-party APIs (Anthropic Claude, OpenAI GPT-4, Google Gemini). To use these features, you must provide your own API key. Your API key is stored exclusively in your browser's localStorage and is never transmitted to any Zigmoon server. Requests are sent directly from your browser to the respective provider. Their terms and privacy policies apply.
IPFS / Pinata (ZORD)
ZORD optionally supports decentralized cloud storage via IPFS through Pinata. This feature is opt-in and requires a Pinata account and API key. Files stored via this feature are subject to Pinata's terms of service: pinata.cloud/privacy.
A7LAS — Search Engines
A7LAS is a pass-through search interface. When you click a search engine button, your query is opened in a new browser tab on the selected engine's website. A7LAS does not transmit your queries to any Zigmoon server. The selected search engine's terms and privacy policy apply.
WebRTC (ZORD Collaboration, ZSHARE)
ZORD's real-time collaboration and ZSHARE use WebRTC for peer-to-peer communication. WebRTC may expose your IP address to your collaborator(s). No data transits through Zigmoon servers.
Limitation of Liability
All Zigmoon applications are provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
Zigmoon shall not be liable for:
- Any loss of data, documents, files or work resulting from the use of the applications
- Any damage caused by errors, bugs, interruptions or incompatibilities of the software
- Consequences arising from the use of third-party AI-generated content accessed through Zigmoon applications
- Financial loss, loss of revenue or business interruption of any kind
- Damage resulting from unauthorized access or security breaches beyond our reasonable control
You are solely responsible for verifying the accuracy, appropriateness and legality of any content you create, process or export using Zigmoon applications.
This limitation of liability applies to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, including French consumer protection law.
Service Availability
Zigmoon applications are web-based and provided free of charge. While we strive for high availability, we do not guarantee continuous, uninterrupted access to the service.
We reserve the right to:
- Temporarily suspend access for maintenance, updates or technical reasons
- Modify, discontinue or deprecate any application at any time
- Introduce breaking changes in new versions
Because most Zigmoon apps function as Progressive Web Apps (PWA) and are cached locally after first load, interruptions in service availability typically do not affect offline functionality for existing users.
External Links
Zigmoon applications may contain links to external websites (search engines, documentation, third-party shops). These links are provided for information purposes only.
Zigmoon has no control over the content of external sites and accepts no liability for their content, privacy practices, or availability. The inclusion of a link does not imply endorsement.
Open Source Components
Some Zigmoon applications incorporate open-source libraries and frameworks. Each such component is used in accordance with its respective open-source license. Where required by those licenses, attributions are provided within the application's source code or documentation.
Notable components used may include (non-exhaustive list):
- FFmpeg.wasm — for in-browser video processing (LGPL 2.1)
- PDF.js — for PDF rendering (Apache 2.0)
- jsPDF — for PDF generation (MIT)
- MediaRecorder API — native browser API (W3C)
- WebRTC — native browser API (W3C)
Zigmoon's goal is to progressively open-source its own code. Check our GitHub at github.com/zigmoon for currently available repositories.
AI Features & API Keys
Applications such as ZORD and OTTO BUILDER include optional AI writing or generation features. These features are powered by third-party large language models (LLMs).
Important:
- AI-generated content is not reviewed, endorsed or validated by Zigmoon.
- You are solely responsible for verifying the accuracy, legality and appropriateness of AI-generated content.
- Your API keys are stored only in your browser's
localStorage. Zigmoon has no access to your API keys. - Costs incurred from API usage are billed directly by the AI provider to your account. Zigmoon has no involvement in this billing relationship.
- AI features require an active internet connection and are subject to the respective provider's terms of service and rate limits.
