ROCK creates an encrypted .rock package. The recipient needs the access code you give them separately.

What ROCK protects: the package is encrypted and cannot be read without the access code. What it cannot guarantee offline: a recipient who has opened a file can still copy its contents. Device binding, revocation and usage logs need an authorization server.

Local file processing

Files, access codes and recipient names are processed locally by your browser. ROCK does not upload them to a server. The generated .rock package contains the encrypted file and the metadata shown before creation.

Cookies and local storage

ROCK uses no advertising or analytics cookies. Your cookie-banner choice is stored locally in this browser so the notice is not shown on every visit. You can reopen the Cookies panel below or clear site data in your browser settings.

Security limits

ROCK encrypts packages with AES-GCM and derives keys from the access code. It cannot recover a lost code, revoke an offline package, verify a recipient's identity or prevent copying after decryption. Send the package and access code through separate channels.

Responsibility

You are responsible for the files you protect and share, the recipients you choose and compliance with applicable law. ROCK is provided without a guarantee that it is suitable for regulated, critical or long-term archival use.

The ROCK name, interface, text and code are protected. Unauthorized reproduction or reuse is prohibited.
