# SuperPhoto

SuperPhoto is a Photoshop-like image editor built as a single-page application.
It is fully static: no account, no upload, no server-side processing. Every
pixel operation runs locally in the visitor's browser (Canvas 2D + WebGL) or in
the desktop shell.

## What the application does

- Multi-document workspace with tabs; each media can open in the current
  workspace or in a new tab.
- Layers: reorder by drag, rename, duplicate, delete, lock, opacity, blend
  modes, per-layer masks, multi-selection with Shift, locked Background layer.
- Colour modes: RGB (sRGB) by default, CMYK simulation and grayscale.
- Retouching tools: crop, shapes, pen (Bézier), text, pencil, brush, eraser,
  clone stamp, patch, healing brush, light spot, eyedropper, gradient,
  selection, magic wand, zoom, hand.
- Adjustments: tone, contrast, colour, levels, curves (monotone cubic
  interpolation), black & white.
- Progressive feathering for selections, fill-selection from the context menu,
  Select All / Deselect / Invert shortcuts.
- Plug-ins: a docked right drawer; the bundled "Effects 2026" pack adds glitch,
  scratch, grain and light-leak effects.
- Export: PNG, JPEG, WebP, AVIF, TIFF, EPS, layered PSD, and `.spp`
  (SuperPhoto package: ZIP with a manifest, per-document JSON, binary layer
  masks and a preview).
- Import: PNG, JPEG, WebP, AVIF, GIF, BMP, SVG, TIFF, PSD (8/16-bit RGB, CMYK
  and grayscale, layer names, masks, opacity, blend modes, DPI).
- Interface: light or dark theme, black-and-white only, keyboard shortcuts,
  drag-and-drop from the desktop.

- Is it free? The web application is free to use; the source is public on

- Does it need an internet connection? No, once the page is loaded.
- Are files uploaded to a server? No. Everything stays on the device.
- Which formats can it open? PSD, TIFF, PNG, JPEG, WebP, AVIF, GIF, BMP, SVG
  and its own `.spp` package.
- Does it replace Photoshop? It covers the common retouching workflow
  (layers, masks, selections, adjustments, PSD round-trip) but it is not a
  pixel-identical clone and does not load proprietary Photoshop plug-ins.
