# TRACE

> Free, no-signup, browser-native privacy & network diagnostic. Shows in real time what every website, your ISP and the network already know about you: public IP on a map, ISP / ASN, reverse DNS, WebRTC leaks, browser fingerprint, VPN / Tor heuristic, DNS records, latency to major datacenters, hardware capabilities and live behaviour. 100% client-side, no account, no tracker.

TRACE is part of the **Zigmoon** collection of zero-knowledge browser-native applications. It runs entirely in the user's browser — there is no Zigmoon server, no analytics, no advertising, no third-party tracker. The only outbound calls are to public IP/geo APIs, DNS-over-HTTPS resolvers, the Cloudflare speed-test endpoint, OpenStreetMap tile servers and a few well-known hosts used as latency / reachability targets.

## What TRACE measures

- **Public IP & geolocation**: IPv4, IPv6, reverse DNS (PTR), ISP, ASN, organization, city, region, country, postal, timezone, currency, coordinates on OpenStreetMap.
- **Local network**: WebRTC STUN probe, RFC1918 IPs, mDNS hostname.
- **Browser fingerprint**: user agent, platform, vendor, OS, engine, screen, viewport, color depth, DPR, touch points, languages, timezone, canvas hash, audio hash, font enumeration, GPU vendor + renderer, WebGL version, WebGPU, plugins, media devices.
- **Hardware**: CPU cores, device memory, battery, storage quota, permissions inventory.
- **Connection**: `navigator.connection`, live download speed (Cloudflare endpoint), upload estimate, latency probes to Cloudflare, Google, AWS, Azure, OVH, GitHub, 1.1.1.1.
- **Page context**: referrer, protocol, TLS, HTTP version, navigation timing, live HTTP headers (HEAD), UA Client Hints, sec-fetch.
- **Privacy posture**: fingerprint ID with entropy estimate, VPN / Tor / hosting heuristic, third-party cookies, localStorage, IndexedDB, BroadcastChannel, prefers-* media queries, WebAuthn, Bluetooth, USB, Serial, HID API availability, persistent local ID.
- **Live behaviour**: dwell time, mouse moves, clicks, keystrokes, scroll, focus, fullscreen, idle, page visibility, GPS (on click), motion sensors (on click), microphone level (on click), gamepads (on click).
- **DNS & reachability**: DoH lookup of A, AAAA, MX, NS, TXT/SPF; Cloudflare PoP / colo / edge; HEAD probes to common hosts.
- **Export**: one-click JSON export of the full report.

## What TRACE does NOT do

- No backend; no upload of any probe result.
- No analytics, no advertising, no third-party tracker.
- No login, no signup, no account, no email collected.
- No microphone / GPS / motion sensors without explicit user click.

## How to use

1. Open https://app.zigmoon.com/TRACE/ in any modern browser.
2. The dashboard auto-fills with all probes; the speed test runs after ~800 ms.
3. Click *Run speed test* to repeat, *Refresh* to re-probe, *Export JSON* to download the full report.
4. Click *Theme* to toggle day / night, install as PWA from the address bar.

## Tech stack

- One static HTML file, vanilla JavaScript, no build step, no framework.
- Leaflet 1.9.4 (SRI-pinned) + OpenStreetMap for the map.
- Public APIs: ipwho.is, ipapi.co, ipapi.is, ipify, dns.google, cloudflare-dns.com, speed.cloudflare.com.
- PWA: `manifest.webmanifest` + `service-worker.js`.
